Mobile Incorporated Limited, aka Mobinc, announced that it had launched its Conquestador brand for online casino gaming and sports betting in Ontario.
It was unclear if Conquestador Casino Ontario had officially launched as of Tuesday evening. A support representative for the operator told Canada Gaming Review that Conquestador was now a licensed operator in the province but did not provide a link to an Ontario-only site.
Ontario regulators have required online poker, casino, and sports betting operators — as well as their third-party business partners — to exit the gray market and enter the regulated space if they are to continue doing business in the province.
As of Tuesday, the associated link attached to the internet gaming operator’s license held by Mobinc and issued by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) continues to direct users to the offshore Conquestador site that operates under a Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) license.
AGCO issued a one-year internet gaming operator’s license to Mobinc in October 2022. The license is up for renewal on October 20, 2023.
Conquestador Would Be the First to Launch in 2023
On Tuesday, Mobinc said Conquestador was the first online casino to launch in Ontario in 2023.
Mobinc said Conquestador, which offers online casino games and has an online sportsbook, “enjoyed a successful launch with their MGA license in 2021 and is now set to reap the rewards in one of North America’s most promising jurisdictions.”
The company added that it was “now perfectly placed to help third-party operator partners enter the jurisdiction via its platform.”
Mobinc is a platform provider of turnkey and white-label iGaming solutions for operators, with products devoted to live dealer games, online casino gaming, payment processing, player retention, and online sports betting. It holds licenses from the MGA and the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC).
Conquestador’s live dealer offerings include baccarat, blackjack, poker, roulette, game shows, and other games.
“This is a great start to 2023,” said Mobinc CEO Sergei Belikov. “Launching Conquestador in this new market is a huge milestone for Mobinc as we continue to expand both our global footprint and product offering.
“AGCO’s common-sense approach to regulation and licensing has meant the market has got up and running very quickly, and we’re relishing the opportunity to help our partners flourish in this region.”
Mobinc is licensed to provide its online casino and sports betting services in Japan and New Zealand. It is also licensed for online casino gaming in Ireland and online sports betting in Austria.
Ontario Now Has 55 Licensed Online Casinos
Conquestador is the latest online casino to join Ontario’s ranks. It faces some stiff competition in the vertical.
According to a list of regulated operators maintained by iGaming Ontario (iGO), as of Tuesday, there were a total of 68 websites associated with online poker, casino gaming, or sports betting in the province.
Of those 68 websites, iGO said 55 were licensed to provide online casino gaming, including the website for Conquestador. There are also 27 licensed online sportsbooks and five licensed online poker providers.
Many of the operators active in Ontario are licensed in more than one vertical.
