Pre-registration for Hollywood Casino Alberta has begun, according to Sports Betting Dime.
Sports Betting Dime said Alberta players could not yet create accounts, make deposits, or participate in real-money gaming through Hollywood Casino Alberta, with access remaining blocked until July 13, 2026.
Sports Betting Dime also said Hollywood Casino is one of the online casino brands expected to launch when Alberta’s regulated iGaming market opens on July 13, 2026.
Alberta’s iGaming strategy materials said unregulated online gambling is already widely available across the province, and that unregulated operators capture an estimated 70% of Alberta’s total iGaming market.
The Alberta government webpage said the province will allocate 80% of net iGaming revenue to operators and retain 20% for the government, after First Nations and social responsibility funding totaling 3% of Gross Gaming Revenue is allocated.
It also said the Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC) will oversee the iGaming market, while Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) will serve as the market regulator.
According to the same government page, AGLC had commenced the registration process for iGaming operators and suppliers to help them prepare for market launch later this year, with registration-stage operators able to advertise and sign up prospective customers but unable to add funds to accounts or take bets.
Real-money access through Hollywood Casino Alberta was therefore tied to the province’s regulated iGaming market opening on July 13, 2026.
