PokerStars on FanDuel Ontario is running Summer Sendoff, a centroll series open only to players in Ontario. The 10-day promotion runs from Sept. 4 through Sept. 13 and lets entrants buy in for 1 cent.
The series offers C$10,000 in prizes. Most of the payouts are tournament tickets, with some cash mixed in. According to the PokerStars lobby schedule, the festival consists of 10 events, one a day, with prize pools ranging from C$250 to C$5,000 and a slate that is mostly no-limit hold’em at turbo or hyper-turbo speed, plus one Pot-Limit Omaha event.
PokerNews said the festival had reached its final stretch by Sept. 9, with five events still to play and about C$6,500 left to award across the closing four days. That stretch opened at 20:00 on Wednesday with Event No. 6, a C$500 guaranteed Pot-Limit Omaha Turbo, the only PLO tournament on the schedule.
The remaining events include Thursday night’s C$1,000 guaranteed no-limit hold’em tournament and Friday and Saturday hyper-turbos that offer paths into Spin & Go entries. The headline finale comes on Sept. 13, when the series ends with a C$5,000 event that pays out a mix of cash and MTT tickets.
