Alberta’s regulated online gambling market is scheduled to launch on July 13 for private-sector iGaming operators, with the provincial watchdog warning that operators will need to be ready for a market shift that begins that day.
Until then, the Alberta Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis Commission (AGLC) has told interested operators they have until July 13 to cease any “unregulated” activity and pay their licensing fees, and it said failures to heed warnings could lead to “a finding of unsuitability for iGaming registration in Alberta.”
