Casino Time has gone live in Alberta, expanding the Canadian charitable gaming brand into a second province. Its arrival, along with Vegas Club Casino, brings the regulated market to 29 active iGaming sites run by 19 companies. The move comes after Alberta’s regulated iGaming framework officially launched on 13 July.
As reported in July, Alberta opened its regulated market with 22 operator platforms on day one, and the roster has continued to fill out since then. Iredell Free News reported that Casino Time completed registration with Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis in June and is now fully active within the province’s iGaming framework. The brand is based in Toronto, is Canadian-owned, and has offered online casino and bingo in Ontario since 2024.
That background gives Casino Time a specific place in the Alberta market. Because of its charitable gaming links, the operator is one of a very small number of sites allowed to offer online bingo alongside standard casino play. It is connected to 10 physical charitable gaming venues and operates under the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association, which promotes gaming as a non-profit fundraising tool within communities.
Casino Time’s online platform is powered by Gaming Innovation Group. It lists more than 3,000 casino games from over 40 suppliers and studios, including slots, table games, live dealer content and game-show style titles.
Alberta’s own strategy says the regulated market is built around player protection, in contrast with the unregulated market that the province estimates still captures about 70% of online gambling in Alberta. The province says the Alberta iGaming Corporation oversees commercial agreements while AGLC acts as regulator, and that operators keep 80% of net iGaming revenue while the government takes 20%. The strategy also sets aside 3% of gross gaming revenue for First Nations and social responsibility funding.
