Real money Ontario online poker players are looking at extra value with some new games and boosted guarantees on PokerStars Ontario. The province-specific client for the global poker behemoth PokerStars is sweetening the deal for its players with a host of new tournaments and guarantee boosts on some familiar events.
Players on PokerStars Ontario will be treated to some extra value from now on as the operator revamps its tournament lineup. There are more than CAD $125k in additional guarantees added to the new schedule — brand new events and some existing ones have received a nice boost.
The $500 Sunday Super High Roller is among the games receiving a healthy increase. The new $20k guarantee is a 33% boost over the old $15K value. The Sunday Special and the Daily Super High Roller also get solid boosts on their guaranteed prize pools.
There are some exciting new events on the schedule as well. The biggest in terms of guarantee to buy-in is the Double Deuce. Running on Saturday and Sunday, the Double Deuce goes all-in on the deuces, with its $22 buy-in, 2:22 pm start time, and 22k starting stack. While the deuce is the lowest card in the deck, the Double Deuce is the best-value game in the new lineup with CAD $68 in prize money for every $1 of buy-in.
$125k More from PokerStars in Ontario
There are over $125k added guarantees on PokerStars Ontario after the operator has re-jiggered its schedule. Among the new games on the program are the $22 Double Deuce and a juicy heads-up battle called the Saturday Duel.
For CAD $20, players will get a shot at $1000 guaranteed in a heads-up zoom PTKO format called the Saturday Duel. It should be a fast-paced one-on-one battle of wits between players with huge bounties and big prizes to be won.
Another big event on the new schedule is the Sunday Warm-Up — a brand pulled over from the venerable global Sunday schedule. The Ontario version will guarantee $5000 for a $100 buy-in, which makes it one of the more lucrative fresh additions.
Overall, there are quite a few high-value games on the new schedule — here’s a look at how they stack up in value when the guarantee is compared to the buy-in (all values are in CAD).

There are exciting games across the new online poker landscape in Ontario. Besides the juicy new schedule on PokerStars, players in the province have a lot of choices, with BetMGM Poker Ontario, 888poker Ontario, and WSOP Ontario all offering online poker alongside the PokerStars brand.
However, one of the critical advantages of PokerStars Ontario comes in game choice. While plenty of Hold’em and Omaha can be found elsewhere, PokerStars is the place to find other poker formats. Whether a player is looking for draw games, seven-card poker, or mixed rotations like HORSE or 8-game, PokerStars Ontario is the place to go.
One of the other things the operator is known for is its epic tournament series. Last month, the Micro Stakes Bonanza offered huge guarantees for micro prices, while ONCOOP handed out nearly $2 million in prizes just before that. While this latest announcement from PokerStars Ontario is focused on the regular schedule, there is little doubt a big new tournament series is in the pipeline.
