The superb tournament action continues at PokerStars Ontario as we move into the second month of 2023, following two incredibly successful tournament series that played out in January.

The operator kicked off the year with a successful Winter Series and moved right into the Chinese New Year Series in late January without much fanfare. Both festivals drew record crowds and shattered most guarantees, paving the way for the rest of the year and creating a tournament buzz among the players.

Now, PokerStars Ontario has launched the 50/50 Poker Series, a festival made up of 50 separate events with a reasonably affordable $50 buy-in each.

For those looking to put their tournament skills to the test and play for some valuable prize pools, the 50/50 Series offers an excellent opportunity to do just that. Players must sign up with PokerStars Ontario and download the PokerStars Ontario App to their PC or mobile device.

What to Expect from the 50/50 Series?

As the name suggests, the _50/50 Series_is an online poker tournament series made up of 50 unique events with a buy-in of $50 each and an overall guaranteed prize pool of $262,000.

The guaranteed prize pools for the events vary quite a bit, ranging from just $1.2k for some of the Mixed Games events and up to $20k for the Main Event.

The Series kicked off on Sunday, February 5, with the Sunday Grind event, which featured a $5k guarantee but ended up attracting 132 entries and generating a prize pool of $6,006.

The 50/50 Series will continue running at PokerStars Ontario for one week, with several events scheduled each day, including No-Limit Hold 'em, Pot-Limit Omaha, PLO8, Stud, 2-7 Draw, and 8-Game tournaments.

Most events, however, will be played out at NLH tables, with the popular progressive knockout (PKO) format being one of the dominant themes of the entire series.

The Series Main Event is scheduled for Sunday, February 12, when players will have an opportunity to compete for at least $20,000 in total prizes in a slow-paced and deep-stacked structure that such an event deserves.

The Main Event, as well as the other tournaments of the 50/50 Series, will allow players to re-enter up to five times during the registration period, which means multiple opportunities at each game for the true grinders out there.

Plenty of 50/50 Series Seats on Offer

While the $50 buy-ins for the 50/50 Series tournaments seem reasonable to most real money Ontario online poker players, PokerStars Ontario is also running a number of qualifiers on the platform to allow players with smaller bankrolls to win seats into the Main Event, as well as give grinders a shot at some easy tournament tickets.

The best shot at winning a 50/50 Series ticket is the daily Mega Satellites, which run several times a day, each awarding a minimum of three Main Event tickets at a buy-in of $3.30. These satellites are guaranteed to draw a lot of interest, which means plenty of seats will be up for grabs in the upcoming days.

All that is left to do is download the PokerStars software to your device and sign up for an account to be able to compete in the most exciting tournament series happening in Ontario right now.
