BetMGM has added Vikings Big Kick LuckyTap to its Canadian online casino, making the football-themed title available exclusively in Alberta and Ontario. The game sits inside the company’s multi-year partnership with the Minnesota Vikings in Canada, which gives BetMGM rights to use Vikings marks across approved sports betting, online casino and marketing activity.
As reported on Sept. 10, the wider Canadian deal also included the exclusive launch of the Vikings-themed game. BetMGM said it had already launched in Alberta on July 13, a move it described as its first international expansion since entering Ontario in 2022.
The title was developed by Design Works Gaming. A BetMGM blog review said the game is built around tap-to-kick play rather than spinning reels, with each round beginning when a player taps to send a football toward the uprights.
Winning comes when the ball sails through the goalposts and the posts light up. The review said successful rounds can deliver between three and 18 prizes, with football-shaped symbols ranging from $0.80 to $1,000.
A golden football can add a random multiplier of 2x to 7x, while some rounds also show coin-style tokens that increase the total prize. The blog said the game does not include progressive jackpots or separate bonus rounds, and that its certified random number generator makes each round independent and based on chance.
BetMGM chief revenue officer Matt Prevost said Vikings fans bring a level of passion and loyalty that extends well beyond game day, and that the company is positioned to combine sports fandom with iGaming. Minnesota Vikings chief marketing officer Martin Nance said the team was deepening its connection with fans across Canada and was excited to create new experiences for Canadian supporters.
