Pragmatic Play launched Sweet Bonanza POP on Oct. 20, bringing its Sweet Bonanza slot into the supplier’s growing POP series with three instant-jackpot tiers. The new title uses a three-reel, 3×5 layout rather than the original game’s 6×5 grid, and offers an instant prize of up to 25,000x when the bonus is triggered with three POP symbols.
The company describes the game as a sugary remix of a candy classic, retaining tumbling-reel gameplay while adding a refreshed visual presentation and new prize mechanics. Players win by matching five to nine or more symbols anywhere on the grid, with base-game awards of up to 50x; winning symbols clear to allow further symbols to tumble into place.
The bonus starts when a combination of at least three lollipop scatters or POP symbols lands, awarding 10 free spins. A trigger containing one POP symbol pays 50x, two pay 500x and three pay 25,000x.
Candy Bomb multipliers can appear during the feature with values of up to 1,000x. They remain on the grid through tumbling sequences, and their values are added together before being applied to the total win for the spin. Landing two or three additional scatters in the bonus awards five or 10 further free spins, respectively.
Sharon McHugh, Pragmatic Play’s director of public relations, said the supplier saw bringing Sweet Bonanza into its POP universe as a way to evolve a player-favourite while retaining its successful elements. She said the release combines the POP brand’s colourful identity with fast-paced gameplay, persistent multipliers and three instant jackpots.
The POP sub-brand was unveiled in July, according to InterGame, making Sweet Bonanza POP a further rollout of that product line. The game’s default return to player is 97.05%, although casino operators may select a different RTP configuration. Availability can also reach individual casino lobbies at different times.
