Royal Vegas Goes Live in Alberta Alongside Ruby Fortune

Royal Vegas has gone live in Alberta’s regulated iGaming market, giving provincial players access to its online slots, table games and live-dealer casino offering. Ruby Fortune, another Super Group casino operated through subsidiary Cadtree Limited, entered the market at the same time.

The two brands hold Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis licences dated April 24. Royal Vegas’s licence is No. 120428 and Ruby Fortune’s is No. 120427, according to Next.io. The licences require Royal Vegas’s games to meet the regulator’s internet-gaming standards, while its bonus terms must comply with rules against unfair or unattainable requirements.

Royal Vegas offers live-dealer tables supplied by OnAir Entertainment and Pragmatic Play alongside slots and table games. Its catalogue includes titles such as 9 Masks of Fire, Fortunium and Queen of Alexandria, as well as blackjack and roulette games.

The operator is advertising a welcome offer of 290 free spins and 10 daily spins spread across a customer’s first three deposits on selected slots. The spins carry no wagering requirement. The daily spins are played on the Mega Millionaire Wheel, which has a top jackpot of $1 million.

Players can make deposits through MasterCard, American Express and Google Pay. Visa, Interac and Apple Pay are available for both deposits and withdrawals.

The launch follows Alberta’s July 13 opening of a regulated competitive iGaming market. Registration alone did not permit operators to begin taking bets or deposits: they also needed a commercial agreement with the Alberta iGaming Corporation and technical and operational readiness. As we reported in September, Super Group’s Betway Canada had already joined Alberta’s regulated operating roster.

Super Group had prepared Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune, Spin, Jackpot City and Betway for Alberta by developing compliance-focused, customer-governed platforms. It had previously made Ontario-specific versions of Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune, Spin Casino and Jackpot City for that province’s regulated launch in 2022.

Alberta’s framework requires operators to integrate with the AGLC’s centralized self-exclusion programme and meet technology, testing and audit requirements before launch. The province retains 20% of net iGaming revenue, while operators receive 80%; separate allocations from gross gaming revenue support First Nations and social-responsibility initiatives.
