While many tournament series are aimed at bigger bankrolls, PokerStars' MicroMillions is iconic for providing tremendous series value for small buy-ins. Running from July 17 through July 31, MicroMillions has more than 200 games with around $4.3 million guaranteed from the start.
Following seven weeks during which the entire poker world’s attention was focused on the live felt in Las Vegas, PokerStars is turning the collective gaze back towards the virtual tables with its latest edition of MicroMillions. There is $4,329,000 guaranteed across the 15-day series geared at micro-stakes players, and Canadians from across the country (excluding Ontario) can get a piece of those juicy prizes.
While Ontario residents have their own PokerStars series ongoing with the $1M Platinum Series, the rest of Canada will get to take a shot at MicroMillions prizes. With 208 games spread across the two-week series, online poker players in Canada can get in on the action for as little as $1.10 and individual games in the series have guarantees as high as $500,000.
If you get FOMO watching the big online series play out with a bankroll too small to participate, MicroMillions is the event of the year for you. There are more than 25 games priced at the lowest price of $1.10, and two of those games will guarantee $10,000 in prizes.

Of course, the hallmark of PokerStars’ _MicroMillions_is big prizes for small buy-ins. The series is tailored to have games for every bankroll, with buy-ins ranging from $1.10 to $55.
However, it is worth noting that there is only a single $55 game on the schedule, the series-closing High Roller on July 31, with $200k guaranteed. Below that, the next biggest game is the Main Event which also runs July 31 and has a whopping $500k guaranteed for just $22.
Outside of those two marquee games, though, the rest of the games are priced at $11 or less. The bulk of events in this year’s MicroMillions will cost $5.50 to get into, with as many as 95 of the 208 games at that buy-in level.
There are slightly more games priced at less than $5.50 than at that price point. There are 27 games at the lowest level, with 96 games for either $1.10 or $3.30.

There is more than just Texas Hold’em on offer as well. While most games are some form of the two-card community board game, there are multiple chances for players to get into some other poker formats. Among the options for players in the MicroMillions this year are draw games like Badugi, Deuce, and 5-card Draw, seven-card games like Stud and Razz, and mixed games like 8-game and HORSE, in addition to a variety of Omaha and Courcheval games.
PokerStars’ MicroMillions is the perfect chance for Canadians with lower bankrolls to get into the tournament series game. No matter what level players buy in at or what games they choose to play, there is plenty of money up for grabs.
