PokerStars Ontario has put another successful online poker series to bed, as the Bounty Builder Series came to an end on March 6.
The Series, which had a schedule of more than 100 bounty builder events across all buy-ins, started out with a planned $700k guaranteed prize pool, but exceeded this by some margin, as just over $1.05 million was won by players across all events.
Over 25,000 entries were made by Ontario online poker players during the nearly three-week period the Bounty Builder Series was running, adding up to over 250 players per tournament on average. Overall, the Series was another great success for PokerStars Ontario, which has already set itself up as among the best online poker rooms in Ontario in what is still an emerging and growing market.

Bounty Builder Series Main Event Shatters Guarantee
The biggest highlight of the Bounty Builder Series was the $200 Main Event, which featured a $75k guaranteed prize pool.
Reality ended up exceeding expectations, as 479 players came together to create a prize pool of almost $90k and make the Main Event one of the biggest fields of the Series.
The Main Event also featured the largest prize pool of the whole festival and was yet another proof that PokerStars Ontario can throw big events with significant buy-ins and still attract hundreds of players to play in them.
Successful Turnout Across the Board
It was not only the Main Event that attracted large numbers, as nine tournaments in total drew in crowds of over 500 players. A $5 Bounty Builder event ended up with 725 entries making it the biggest field of the Series.
When it comes to prize pools, there were several events that ended up with more than $25,000 in the final prize pool.
The Sunday Special SE event played on the opening Sunday of the Series ended up being the second-biggest prize pool of the whole show, with just under $50k in total payouts made in that one.
The Super Sunday High Roller played exactly one week later, also drew in quite a crowd and ended up paying $48.6k in prizes, making it the third richest event of the Series.
A handful of other events, such as the Sunday High Roller and The Brawl, saw prize pools over $25k, while more than $10,000 was won in quite a few different tournaments across the Series.
In the end, the vast majority of all events met or exceeded their guarantees, with only a handful of smaller buy-ins offering slight overlays to the players that entered them.
The Bounty Builder Series kept building on the extremely successful year for tournament poker at PokerStars Ontario, which has seen one series after another end with major success and huge turnout.
As we wait for PokerStars Ontario to announce the next big festival of online poker, there is plenty of daily and weekly actions still going on, with events like the Sunday Special, the Sunday Storm, and the Double Deuce available on the regular weekly schedule.
